Terms of service
Last updated 2 September 2026
ClipCheck scores a YouTube Short for policy risk before you upload it. It is an assessment, never a guarantee: YouTube decides, not us. These terms say what you get, what it costs, and what each of us is responsible for.
What ClipCheck is
You upload a Short, and ClipCheck returns a strike risk, a demonetization risk, and the seconds and policy behind every flag. Every result is detected risk, written as Low, Medium or High. A low score is not a promise that YouTube will leave the video alone, and a high score is not a finding that it will not.
Independent risk assessment. Not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, Google, TikTok, Meta or their respective platforms.
Your account
You sign in with an email address you control. Keep it yours: anyone with access to that inbox can sign in as you.
You must be at least 16 to use ClipCheck, and if you use it for a business you confirm you may bind that business to these terms.
What you may upload
Only video you have the right to upload and scan. Not video that is unlawful to possess or share. Not video of other people you have no right to use.
A scan takes an MP4 or MOV up to 3 minutes and 72 MB. One account may submit 10 scans an hour. Anything over these limits is refused and costs nothing.
We can refuse a scan, or close an account, that is used to break these terms or to attack the service. If we do, any month already paid for is refunded.
Credits and payment
A new account holds 3 free scans for life. Every scan spends one credit, a re-scan of the same video included. A refused scan spends nothing. A scan that ends in a failure on our side is refunded, and one that is interrupted can be retried with no second charge.
A founder seat costs €9 a month, held at that price for as long as you keep it, and gives 30 scans a month. Buying a seat sets your balance to 30; on each billing date it goes back to 30. Unused scans do not carry over.
You can cancel anytime from your account. Cancelling stops the seat now, refunds the current month in full, and removes that month's scans. The seat goes back to the cohort.
Only 20 founder seats exist. Other plans are shown on the site but not sold until they open; the prices shown for them can change before then.
Your video and your report
Your video is hard-deleted 7 days after you upload it. Your scores, report and the outcomes you report are kept. The privacy policy has the detail.
You keep every right to your video. You give us only what is needed to scan it: to store it for those days, to send it to the video model, and to keep the report and the scores.
The calibration phase
While the scanner is being calibrated, a person reads each report before it is released and may correct it. That can make a report slower than the 3 minutes the scan itself takes, and the report says whether a person read it.
What we are not responsible for
ClipCheck reads the file you give it against YouTube's published rules. It does not see your title, thumbnail, description or channel history, and it cannot know how YouTube's own systems or reviewers will read the video. A strike, a demonetization, a removal or lost revenue after a scan is not something we can prevent or be liable for.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you for anything arising from ClipCheck is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit.
Ending things, and changes
You can stop using ClipCheck whenever you like and ask for your account to be deleted. We can end the service, or your access to it, with a month's notice, and we refund any month paid for and not used.
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and signed-in creators are told by email before the change applies.
These terms are governed by French law, and any dispute goes to the courts of France. Nothing in this section takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
