ClipCheck reads your Short before YouTube does. This page says what we keep, what we delete, and who else touches it. In short: your email, your scores and your report stay; your video is hard-deleted 7 days after you upload it.
Who we are
ClipCheck is run by Ahmed Agoummadane, an individual founder. Write to hello@clipcheck.io about anything on this page.
What we collect
Your email address. It is how you sign in; there is no password. We send you a sign-in link, and an email when a report is ready.
The video you upload. It is stored in a private bucket that only our server can read. Nobody is handed a link to it, and it is never uploaded to YouTube or anywhere else.
What the scan produces: the two scores, the timeline, every flag with its seconds and policy, the model's own assessment behind them, and any correction a reviewer makes.
What you tell us later. After you publish, we may ask what YouTube did with the Short. Answering is optional.
If you hold a founder seat: the subscription and customer identifiers Stripe gives us. Stripe handles the card; we never see or store the number.
Server logs, kept by our hosting provider for a short time to run the service.
On the landing and sign-in pages, a cookieless page-view count. It sets no cookie and stores no identifier in your browser, which is why there is no banner. Nothing is counted on the scan or report pages.
What we do with the video
The video is sent to a video model to be read, second by second, with the audio. We delete the interaction and the uploaded copy at the provider as soon as the answer is back.
The video is then kept in our storage, so a scan that hits a temporary failure can be retried without you uploading again, and hard-deleted 7 days after you uploaded it, whatever state the scan reached. The deletion runs once a day, so the file is gone no later than the day after those 7 days. Once it is gone we cannot get it back, and neither can anyone else. A video uploaded before you sign in is kept for 24 hours. If no account claims it, it is deleted.
No person watches your video. During the calibration phase a person reads the report before it is released to you, and that is all they see.
What we keep, and why
The scores, the report, the model's assessment, any reviewer's correction, and what you tell us YouTube did afterwards. These are kept for as long as ClipCheck exists.
They are kept so the scanner learns: every real outcome sharpens the severity ladder that scores the next scan. They are never sold, and they are never used to advertise to you.
Who else touches your data
Supabase holds the database, the video storage and the sign-in. Google runs the video model that reads the file. Stripe takes payment. Resend delivers our email. Vercel hosts the site. PostHog counts landing-page views, on its European servers, without cookies.
Each of them processes your data only to provide that part of the service. None of them is given your data for their own purposes.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete your account. Email hello@clipcheck.io from the address you sign in with. Deleting the account removes your email, your scans and your reports; records of payments are kept for as long as the law requires.
We process your data to provide the scan you asked for and, for what we keep afterwards, because calibrating the scanner is a legitimate interest that costs you nothing. If you are in the European Union you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and signed-in creators are told by email before the change applies.
